FREE Community Drum Circle Gathering

Honoring the last Full Moon of 2024
Everyone is welcome! Love offerings are appreciated.

Facilitated by Joey Dukes, who learned to lead drum circles by using them to support veterans at the VA Hospital in Atlanta GA.

For most of human history, group drumming has been used as a way to celebrate and build community. Individual self-expression combined with a group effort can create a powerful experience as it merges self-awareness with a collective consciousness.

Group drumming is one of the few activities in life that require you to talk and listen at the same time. Attending this facilitated group requires no previous experience and everyone can participate. Often people say “I don’t have any rhythm”, but everyone does and it can be expressed. We will explore the basics of creating rhythm and how to use a variety of percussion instruments. There will be drums, shakers and bells available, but if you already attend drum circles, please feel free to bring your own.

Bring a chair, a drum or a percussion instrument. Drums available to borrow - call 828-866-0006 to reserve or RSVP online.
